Case Study: Hospital Appointments System
A hospital runs the number of Outpatient Clinics. Patients who are referred to the hospital are given the appointment to see the particular consultant in the particular clinic. A patient may have appointments with more than one doctor in different types of clinic. Hospital has a number of Operating Theatres and each theatre is equipped to perform a number of different types of operation.
Consultants perform specific types of operation based on their area expertise. Each operation is the responsibility of one consultant. The appointments system is used for booking operations as well as outpatient’s appointments.
