Personal Motivation
Using any of the models of motivation, describe your own basis for motivation and how this impacts your responsibility as a leader to followers, peers, and superiors. You may use more than one model if appropriate, but be cautious about making your presentation overly complex. Describe the strategies you use for self-motivation as well as the motivation of others. Are these methods effective, and are they internally consistent (i.e. consistent with your values, talents, and goals)? Are these methods externally consistent (i.e. consistent with the organizational context in which you have responsibilities for people and projects)? Provide examples and rationale to support your opinion. Develop a plan to improve your strategies of self- and other-motivation. Include a timetable and strategy for third-party accountability.
