Problem: Need assistance in creating a professional plan that addresses the following aspects as they relate to obtaining my first position as a public health nurse within the United States.
1. Perform an environmental scan--address the current realities in public health nursing and the health care system nationally and locally as they relate to finding your first position as a public health nurse in the U.S.
2. A 1 and 3 year strategic plan to prepare for the role; include goals, action steps, resources, time line, and indicators of success for achieving a position as a registered nurse after graduation
3. Suggested professional organizations and networking opportunities which can help enhance personal readiness
