Peer-review is an important part of the doctoral process that many learners do not take advantage of because they are unable to establish productive working relationships. Often, I would discuss my ideas to one of my classmates on a monthly basis, but I wasn’t comfortable enough to show her my writing. I kept my writing for my dissertation chair (who was also my content expert), which made the process much easier for me and the remaining committee members. This is my experience.
