Under standard care, 10% of all patients suffering their first MI are readmitted to hospital in 6 weeks. A new protocol for care following first MI is proposed as well as evaluated. Two hundred patients receive the new protocol following an MI and 12 are readmitted to the hospital within 6 weeks. Is there a significant reduction in the proportion of patients readmitted to the hospital within 6 weeks under the new protocol? Run the appropriate test at the 5% level of significance.
