The advocate also advises the patient as to where they can locate healthcare services within the facility. The advocate assists in obtaining any services the patient may need at the hospital, e.g., interpreter services.
You are a patient rights advocate for Memorial Hospital. A patient is in constant pain, but is not considered to have a "terminal" disease. The patient's husband wants your advice on how to proceed and wants to know whether you would support a euthanasia option.
What would your advice be? Be sure that your advice is consistent with both your actual position on this subject and the best interests of the patient and her family.
