Part 1 imagine that you had been born the opposite sex

Born Male/Female

This is a two part question to stretch our thinking about sex and gender.

Part 1: Imagine that you had been born the opposite sex. Would your life thus far have been different? Do you think your future would be different than you now envision it?  If so, how?  Discuss two or three ways in which your life would be different if you had been born the opposite sex.

Part 2: Sociology views all gender differences as socially constructed-they are not biological, but defined by and learned from society. Look back at the gender differences you mentioned in Part 1: Do you agree that some or all of the differences you mentioned are socially constructed? If so, why? Is there at least one difference that still seems biological to you, regardless of what sociology has to say?  Why do you think it's biological?
