Many insects and microorganisms can feed upon tissues and saps of living plants. Hence plants must be protected against such parasites either by I expressing evasive devices such as inhibitors and toxins against the enzymes of parasites or by developing preventive morphological and biochemical alterations that keep the parasite away from aggregating near the plant.
