Package is expelled from the plane

A relief airplane is transporting a food package to a group of people stranded on an incredibly small island. The island is very small for the plane to land on, and the single way to deliver the package is by falling it. The airplane flies horizontally with constant speed of 300 at an altitude of 1000. The positive x and y directions are stated. For all parts, suppose that the "island" signifies to the point at a distance from the point at which the package is free. Overlook the height of the point above sea level. Suppose that the acceleration due to gravity is = 9.80.

i) After a package is expelled from the plane, determine how long will it take for it to reach sea level from the time it is expelled? Suppose that the package, like the plane, has an initial velocity of 300 in the horizontal direction.

ii) When the package is to land right on the island, at what horizontal distance from the plane to the island must the package be free?

iii) Determine the speed vf of the package when it hits the ground?
