Over the past few decades there have been big changes in attitudes toward single sex education. Most of the high schools and colleges in this country (even the military academies) that had previously been single sex institutions have been transformed into coeducational institutions. Now we are hearing that single sex elementary and high schools have many advantages for our students.
Please comment on this question (one page), including where and in what situations single sex education is appropriate or advantageous, if at all. Please support your position with facts and theories from your textbook and course materials or from other research you come across. Remember, this is not to be a discussion based only upon your opinion and personal experience.
