One of America's leading neuroscientists, Daniel Levitin, recently published a book entitled "A Field Guide to Lies: Critical Thinking in the Information Age."

And in the reading of chapters 8-13 in the Ruggiero text (Beyond feelings: A Guide to Critical Thinking 9th edition), the author also describes some of the specific (no fewer than 30) errors in reasoning that people make and that can impact critical thinking. Answer the following questions in detail.
- What are the most common errors in reasoning that reporters/journalists (online, paper, TV, other media, etc.) use in making their perspectives known to the consumers of their information?
- Why might these errors exist?
- Why do people believe them?
- What does the research say on how to ameliorate these errors in critical thinking?
