Directions:
1. Once you know what period you will be working with, research that period using multiple resources including your text. What types of sources are appropriate?
2. Summarize the style and identify the main elements and principles used. Please underline, bold or italicize elements and principles throughout your paper.
3. Research paper should be approached like your other COMM papers, approximately 500-750 words, double spaced, 12-pt. Times New Roman font, and cite your sources at the end of the paper in whatever format you are most familiar with.
4. Please practice appropriate paraphrasing techniques. This should be in your own words (and cited) and not copied from sources unless quoted properly. This will be submitted to turnitin.com. Please properly complete or the paper may be in violation of academic integrity.

b. Development: Remains on topic, supportive and descriptive details
c. Organization: Developed beginning, middle and end, logical order and smooth transitions
d. Style: Word choice is effective, varies sentence length and structure
e. Conventions: Uses standard language, few errors in spelling and punctuation.
