Once the VEX robot is completed and successfully uploading the programming, testing comes in hands. The first test was made is driving it around using the sticks on the Control Transmitter, making sure the robot can drive forward, Reverse, and makes accurate turns. In addition, testing the bumper switch sensors in case it hits another robot during the game, where the robot should immediately stop.

The grabber had most of the testing time period just to make it accurate while grabbing the ball. The problem we faced was the hand of the robot was overweighted, which made it unstable and hard to carry the ball.

  • Testing the hand sensors.
  • Testing the ability of the robot to drag two balls from point A to point B.
  • Testing how long the battery last.
  • Testing the overweight on the robot to avoid it from falling back.
  • Testing dropping the ball in the basket.
  • Testing grabbing the ball from 3 to 5 inch high.
  • Testing driving while caring ball from point A to point B.
