Essay Comparison and Contrast
Objective: To write an essay comparing and/or contrasting two subjects.
Write an essay comparing and contrasting WWI and WWII.
Requirements:
- Length: minimum of 4 pages.
- MLA format
- Must be written in third person
- Use at least three points of comparison or contrast to discuss your two subjects.
- In an essay like this, remember to use transitions!
- Follow the subject-by-subject or point-by-point structure, but not a combination of both.
- Counting your introduction and conclusion, you should have between five and eight paragraphs in your essay.
- You must discuss your points in the same order for each subject.
- Must include a thesis statement.
- Paragraphs have a topic sentence and at least 6 well developed supporting sentences.
