Aim To test the knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing technologies on production of petrochemical compounds and the student with their presentation and innovative skills in dissemination of theoretical & simulated design calculations of various unit operations used in petroleum industry and overall production process of petroleum industries.

Critical understanding on production of various petrochemicals.

General Instructions:

Seminar topics are given based on their mutual interest and covering the entire knowledge of Petrochemical Industry as well as unit operations with emphasis on safety, efficiency and economics. Students are encouraged to visit the Petrochemical plants in Sultanate of Oman and check the new technologies/methods used by the industries. After selection of the presentation topic the student can inform the same to the tutor before the deadline. The schedule of presentation will be announced in the blackboard and student must present the topic as per the given schedule. The duration of presentation is about 10 minutes and additional 5 minute can be devoted for interaction with the module leader and their peers. The students need to submit the poster of the presentation with Turnitin report as per the guidelines.

Note:
- Students are advised to register their presentation topic before presentation
- Presentation guidelines and schedule will be uploaded in the Black board.
- One set of handout of presentation material along with softcopy to be submitted after their delivery of presentation.
- Maximum number of slides for presentation is 15.
- The students need to submit the poster of the presentation with Turnitin report as per the guidelines.
