Good morning, Nursing Team,
I'm writing this email on behalf of our CNO, Dr. Mathew. This is to inform you that the Nursing Ed department has compiled the steps for navigating the forms attached in MHARS. Effective May 20th, 2026, we will no longer use the paper versions of the Discharge, Transfer, and Pain Episodic forms.
I've attached the steps. This is a great resource for the RN2 to use to educate nurses and guide them on all shifts. This structured approach facilitates seamless navigation through the MHARS system for effective management of nursing forms.
All RN2s should use these steps as a foundational teaching tool for both new and existing staff. Once the education/in-service is done, all nurses should sign and submit it to me and keep a copy in their folder for their records. The overarching goal is to ensure consistent use of the shell across all units. All supervisors should remind nurses to use the forms appropriately to ensure uniformity.
