Chapter 12 discussion board. After reading chapter 12, think about the popular critique of the modern media, by President Trump and others, that it "fake news." Are the critiques valid, or they examples of sophistry? Or both? Provide concrete examples to back up your claims.

Media has a significant role in the community, and they have the power to influence the people. Every day I watch the news because I want to know what is going to our country. Numerous people depend on the Press for information, and only a few citizens can recognize if it is biased. Recently I was not happy with the mainstream media. I notice many times that they are not only critiques, but they are also sophistry. The best example is that when the President travels to Japan, it was in the CNN news that the President feeds fish winds up and pouring the entire box of food into Koi pond. Many people are mocking and talking trash to the president telling that he is overfeeding the fish. CNN didn't show the entire video of the incident; the president pours the food to the fish after the PM of Japan pours all the food to the fish. Some media nowadays are not credible because they are not telling the whole truth they showed half-truth to make the person wrong. Mainstream media should show the entire report and let the people give their opinion base on the story. Nowadays, I don't depend the mainstream because to me they are not dependable. Instead, their job is to inform the community about the truth, but I think they are using the position to give their bias opinion and critiques to the person that they don't like. Their job is to give accurate information base on the truth, not on their bias opinion.
