Now that you have spent several months learning about your country, you will focus in depth on what elements have helped to shape its identity throughout history. For this paper you will choose either a notable figure in history or an event that made a significant impact on the country. This impact can be either positive or negative.

The tragic analysis of Nicholas II's life
Nicholas II, better known as Russia's last emperor, was indeed one of the most remarkable persons in the history of modern Russia. As a the oldest son of the imperial family, he inherited the title when his father died. Nicholas II was only 26 when a he became responsible for the emperor's duty. He remained in his position for the next 22 years That is why even though the last emperor of Russia, Tsar Nicholas II was one of Russia's most well known leaders with some great accomplishments; however, his failures, including the devastating loss to Japan, Black or Bloody Sunday, and his failed leadership during World War I, are proof that Nicholas II had a negative impact on Russia and was not a good ruler.
