• The Student will write a Research Paper on the question of: “What does the leader of the future look like?” The paper will be a minimum 8 pages and will follow APA requirements. A proper executive summary is required. A table of contents is required. An abstract is not required. Students are expected to: expand thinking on leadership beyond the scope of the course materials (including three new research sources); add their own critical thinking to apply the concepts discussed and support thinking with research. Include equal amounts of content and research from the course, from the student’s own experience and from outside research; apply examples from businesses or other organizations.
The student’s paper will, at a minimum, address the following:
• What new and distinctive challenges does the new leader face? Introduce examples and provide details for the argument.
• What does a blueprint for dynamic planning look like?
• What specific disciplines or areas must the new leader focus on?
• What lessons have past leadership behaviors taught us? Provide examples of positive & negative lessons learned.
• What type of leadership will the current and next generation(s) look for? Describe the future generational workforce and trends, including their perspectives, attitudes, beliefs, expectations, etc..
