Nelson is driving his Volkswagen Beetle down the street in Denver, Colorado. He has a huge load of illegal fireworks in the back end of the Beetle. As he stops for a red light at an intersection, Milhouse, who had been driving down a cross street at 95 miles per hour, hits Nelson's car. The collision causes a spark, which ignites several of the fireworks. The fireworks explode sending one firework flying north, directly into a nearby office building and through the office window of Mr. Skinner. The broken glass from the window flies into Mr. Skinner's eyes. He staggers out into the hall and knocks down his secretary, Ms. Krabappel. Ms. Krabappel, who suffers from weak bones, falls and breaks her hip. She files a negligence lawsuit against Milhouse claiming that his negligent driving caused her damages related to her broken hip. [Assume Milhouse is 25 years old].
