Needs take priority over others

In recognizing that some needs take priority over others, Albert Maslow described those priorities as a hierarchy of needs. Consider your own experiences with Maslow's hierarchy. Have you ever experienced true hunger or thirst that displaced your concern for other, higher-level needs? Do you often feel safe? A sense of belonging? Confident? How often do you feel you are able to address what Maslow called your "self-actualization" needs? Do you agree with the ordering of these needs? Discuss.
