Choose one of the following topics and write a 3-5 page (900-1500 word) paper (not counting title page, reference page or direct quotes.) Remember that this is an ESSAY--so it should have an introduction, a body that makes at least several points, and a conclusion.
Be sure to explain each theory carefully and THEN evaluate it. You should have at least 3 sources. Start withhttps://www.iep.utm.edu/ and https://plato.stanford.edu/ . Remember that your sources should be reliable and credible--that means no "ask.com" or "answers.yahoo.com," etc. And no Wikipedia.
- Explain how Descartes finally became convinced that the physical world exists.
- Describe a concrete situation in which we would normally say that one event causes another. How would Hume argue that we really cannot be sure that there is a necessary causal connection?
