Descriptive Paper on Mozart's Fifth symphony

This is a descriptive paper, so there will not be a bibliography. Your paper is graded on the proper application of musical vocabulary and your personal response to the musical event you chose. To help you get started with your paper, consider the following details:

  • Who is performing? What instruments and/or voices are being used? What type of ensemble is it?
What style of music is being performed? What musical era is the work from?
How are the musical elements used in the music?
Is the music programmatic or absolute?
    What is the conductor doing?
Describe your own perceptions, your reaction and response to the music.

There are 40 points possible for this paper. Only use a performance that takes place during this semester.

    Structure of the Paper
