Task: Given E = 200 GPa , Yield strength is 180 MPa and the X-section area for all elements is 100 mm2:
a) Fully analyse the structure using the Matrix method.
b) Use ANSYS to analyse the model.
c) Compare the analytical and CAE results and comment on the correlation.
d) Comment on the adequacy of the sections used. Do you have any particular concern that should be seen before the design project is finalized? Give comprehensive solution (Only compression and tension is considered).
e) Use CAE only to analyse the system again and compare your results with the initial outcome.
