Milling Process Abstract: Students will investigate the milling category of manufacturing processes. Investigation will include machine operation, types of geometry generated, cutting tools, work holding devices and calculation of machining parameters using standard formulae.

What is the difference between the “safe side” and “bad side” of a horizontal milling machine in terms of machine safety?
Using sketches show the difference between arbor cutters, shank cutters and face cutters.
