Military and Civil Aircraft:
Military aircraft can be of several types such as :
(a) Cargo carriers, with capacity to carry heavy loads, such as trucks and tanks.
(b) Fighter Planes, with high maneuverability, high speeds (sometimes supersonic), and steep take off, and fitted with guns.
(c) Bombers, with facility to carry bombs which can be dropped at any desired location.
Some of the military aircraft can take off from the deck of ships. Civil aircraft, on the other hand, need long runways to land.
Helicopters can be for both civil and military use. They land at and take off from helipads and heliports.
