Windows VC++ was a highly effective device. But it was too complicated. It has too many information kinds, and designers had to understand many your local library such as Windows SDK, MFC, ATL, COM etc. There were many information type interface concerns while trading information between different levels. Visible Primary was too simple, and many serious designers disliked it just for that reason. Even though Visible basic was very simple to use, it was not very versatile to create serious programs.
