Assignment Topic - Summary of three Case Studies

Assignment Requirements

In International Marketing Management, you have conducted several case studies that exposed you to the challenges facing businesses in foreign environments, and the significant undertaking and considerations involved in marketing products and services internationally.

In this group report your group is required to compile a summary of findings from the three case studies you presented in this semester.

Your report should bear the structure of professional report format i.e. title page, table of contents, brief introduction, three separate brief summaries (of three case studies) in separate paragraphs and conclusions with recommendations (based on findings) placed within the body of report, Bibliography (as required), etc.

General hints on problem solving and creativity:

  • As discussed in lectures, if we want to create a car we do not necessarily want to think conventionally that a car should always have a typical boxed shape, with four doors and four wheels!
  • If Henry Ford went to his customers and asked, "What do you want for transportation?" his customers would have probably answered "Faster horse"! Hence, it is imperative that we keep customers need, want and demand in mind when creating a solution i.e. product or service - but also keep in mind that our customers may not always know what they need! So here you have to think outside the box and get creative!
  • New ideas can always be generated through brainstorming, crowd sourcing and other ways, but keep in mind that some of the innovative ideas may result from reconfiguration of existing ideas.
