MGT 301: Principles of Management Discussion
Individual attributes can affect an employee's performance within the organization. This discussion serves as an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge of emotional intelligence and its dimensions to their professional lives. Students also discuss personality traits and their relationship to job fit.
• Describe an instance when you used emotional intelligence (EI) to solve a problem at work. What happened?
• What did you do (describe your actions and the dimension(s) you used)?
• Do you believe an employee who does not demonstrate EI could be successful in a similar situation? Why or why not
