Create a meme that reflects some insight or truism about UD culture or about the student experience here at UD. You may want to go to https://knowyourmeme.com/memes to review some of the possible types. At this page, the authors provide a description of each image and you can see examples. Next, go to a meme generator (such as https://imgflip.com/memegenerator). You may use a traditional meme or you may create your own with an image of your choosing.
For your journal, write a page description of the image and text you chose. Explain who will find this meme funny (and who might not). What are the shared experiences necessary to relate to this meme? Do people need to know certain words, places, concepts, or situations to really “get” it? Since I am an outsider to this audience, take time to explain and analyze the meme to explain its parts (in the same way that Shifman does in the reading.)
