Measurement of Hardenability:
Two testing techniques have been enhancement to measure the harden-ability of steels. The first, termed as cylinder series test, offers a single value of harden-ability. The value is stated in terms of martensite of percentage at the centre while quenched in a specific manner. The second, termed as Jominy and quench test results in a curve.
