Mean household incomes of two neighborhoods

A real estate agent claims that there is no difference between mean household incomes of two neighborhoods. The mean income of 12 households from first neighborhood was $31707 with standard deviation of $1200. In the second neighborhood, 10 households had mean income $33753 with a standard deviation of $950. Suppose normal distributions and equal population variances. Test the claim at significance level a=0.01. Compute the test statistic. Is there enough evidence to support the claim?

(Hint: use a pooled estimate of the standard deviation)
