The Australian journal of the Zoology (Vol 43, 1995) reported on study of the diets and water requirements of pigeons. Sixteen pigeons were captured in desert and crop contents of each examined. The mean and standard deviations of the weights in grams are respectively 1.37 and 1.03.

a. Construct a 95% confidence interval for the average weight of dry seeds in the crops of pigeons.

b. Construct a 99% confidence interval for the average weight of dry seeds in the crops of pigeons

c. Compare the width of the two confidence intervals. (Difference between the Upper confidence limit and the lower confidence limit. What effect does increasing the confidence interval level has on the width?
