2. Should more states look towards the High School Safety Act Florida recently passed that, among other things, gives police new tools to, at least temporarily, "take away" the guns of those deemed mentally unfit? Or how about Rhode Island's recent Red Flag law??
3. Should police be using more "profiling" measures mentioned in our textbooks and in the Psychology Today article? If we do, should part of our profiling include biological factors such as a person's genetics?
4. What about using Developmental Theories to explain how a person, with no criminal past, may commit one of these crimes? Remember, Developmental Theories tend to be integrative, in that they look at social, psychological, and biological factors.
