Many hospitals require their nurses get the flu vaccine or risk losing their job. Should a hospital (or any other business) be allowed to force medical treatment (vaccination) on their employees in the interest of the "greater good"? What if it was applied to a different health condition? For example, should a business be allowed to force a mobidly obese worker to have weight loss surgery because morbid obesity increases the likelihood of major health conditions which may then increase insurance premiums for the company as a whole? Or should that same company require that those who are morbidly obese pay more for insurance?

Another scenario: Could a business or even government require that families limit the number of children they have to reduce their carbon foot print on the earth? (there are some that staunchly advocate for this).

The question that comes down, is when is it okay (if ever) to force medical treatment on someone and when does it cross a line?
