Manufacture of acetic acid - Quick vinegar process

(a) From ethyl alcohol (Quick vinegar process):

Vinegar is 6-10% aqueous solution of acetic acid. It is acquired by fermentation of liquors consisting of 12 to 15% ethyl alcohol. Fermentation is done through the Bacterium Mycoderma aceti in existence of air at 30-35°C. The procedure is termed acetous fermentation.
