Managing information systems is all about creating a systematic process to handle the incredible amount of information we are bombarded with on a daily basis. It is not about computers and technology, but rather how to efficiently use them as tools to gather, access and compile the exterior environment into useful information on which to base management decisions. As the pace of change continues to accelerate this is an overwhelming task. Human civilization has learned more in the last one hundred years than it has in all of the human history that came before then.
