The prevention of accident therefore requires an understanding of this important area. Therefore Parents and care givers must constantly be alert to the potential dangers that exist in the environment which include Falls, suffocation; aspiration or swallowing of foreign materials, drowning, burns, poisoning motor vehicle accident, injuries to the body, etc. Accident can be prevented by parents to a great extends. It is your responsibility as nurse to educate the parents individually or in groups about prevention of home accident.
