Problem
Biosyn Inc has decided to start its organization again and is seeking a consultant firm to come in and assess, configure, and maintain its systems for a seven-week evaluation period. The current Biosyn infrastructure comprises a few servers, a web application server, and clients. Their network is flat VLAN for their entire network.
The organization has implemented very basic security and will need further assessment. Biosyn had former internal IT staff that maintained and upgraded infrastructure but were terminated for failing to complete the last project they agreed to. With that said, there are systems in. The Biosyn Inc leadership team will evaluate the proposals.
• Key Proposal Requirements:
o The consultant shall respond to the following items in its Proposal - Section 3.
The consultant must have the following mandatory requirements to participate in this RFP. Note that the order of listing does not reflect any relative importance. Consultants must provide evidence of meeting the Mandatory Requirements to be considered.
I. The vendor shall provide maintenance and support and be available at all times (24/7/365) using its own staff and not outsourced resources. Outsourced support is not ... acceptable.
II. Biosyn prefers on-premise infrastructure solutions but would consider other options if available.
The vendor will assess current infrastructure and monitor existing systems and infrastructure for seven weeks for evidence of supporting solutions and proving that their support services are adequate for Biosyn.
i. Costs for each one of the deliverables must be specifically identified and brought forward.
ii. Funding has been secured by Biosyn and has been approved to start at $650,000. Make sure to include your company's implementation and management costs.
iii. To minimize disruption to Biosyn, the proposed implementation is in an eight-month time frame.
