1. Make a list of different weights and scales that are used to measure mass directly or indirectly. Investigate the ranges of mass and the accuracy that can be obtained.
2. Thermometers are based on several principles. Expansion of a liquid with a rise in temperature is used in many applications. Electrical resistance, thermistors, and thermocouples are common in instrumentation and remote probes. Investigate a variety of thermometers and list their range, accuracy, advantages, and disadvantages.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
