Maintenance of Drainage:
Maintenance of drainage will ensure that the run-off is taken away from the runway efficiently. The side ditches and buried pipes should be cleaned regularly such that they are not clogged.
Maintenance of Markings
Repainting of markings which are worn out should be done periodically.
Maintenance of Shoulders
Shoulders should be graded periodically to ensure that they have the desired outward slope. Any shoulder drop-off at the runway/taxiway edges should be made good. All grass and shrubs should be cut and trimmed.
