Main agents of socialization


The family is a fundamental social unit and one of the main agents of socialization. For this discussion, you will read Chapter Two of the text, Introduction to Sociology, and the entry, Family. In addition, you will watch the video, The Sociology of Families and Households. Summarize three different family forms discussed in the readings and video. In what ways do social forces (outside influences), make it easier or more challenging for each family form to function in society? Support your answer with detailed examples.
