A proton traveling at 3.6 km/s suddenly enters a uniform magnetic field of 0.75 T making an angle 55? with the direction of the proton velocity.

(a) Find the direction and the magnitude of the force this magnetic field exerts on the proton.

(b) how would the answer change if it was an electron instead of the proton, traveling with same velocity?

(c) if the field orientation could be varied with respect to t he direction of motion of the proton, find the largest and smallest possible force and show how the velocity and magnetic field should be oriented in both cases.
