Macro to search patent information
Objective To develop a macro that is accomplished to search through publicly available USPTO.gov database as well as count number of times firm A's patents have cited firm B's patents within a specified time window. At the end the macro must produce following values
This is a hypothetical example
Firm A- Pfizer
Firm B- SDGI Holdings
Year- 1991
Number of times
Firm A's patents cites
Firm B's patents: 110
The macro must be able to produce the above information for each pair of the companies on the list and for each year. Consequently ideally the macro must be able to create a text or an excel sheet file that would list all information above in columns.
