According to Machiavelli's literary work The Prince seizing power or opportunity is justified if the results are satisfactory. "Machiavellian" has come to mean ruthless opportunism.
Do any of you feel that there are times when "the ends justify the means"? In the business world must an executive "stick to the good so long as he can, but being compelled by necessity...be ready to take the way of evil"? Is there a valid application of Machiavellian theory in world leadership?
