You are required to produce an essay on "Use of Statistics."
There are three articles available on GA508/MA508 Moodle shell in the folder named "Articles for the Individual Assignment".
Select one of the articles.
Use Business Statistics theory, concepts, tools and terminologies you have learnt from weeks 1 to 4 and analyse the information available in the article to prepare an essay on "Use of Statistics."
Consider the following structure for you essay.
Cover page: Attach a cover page from word and provide the following information.
- Student name and ID
- Unit code and name
- Assignment name
- Assignment due date
- Lecturer name
- Campus
Paragraph 1:
- Provide an introduction for your essay.
Paragraph 2 onwards: The next few paragraphs should discuss the following points.
- Data description: Data source/data types/ scales of measurements.
- Data summarisation and presentation
- Descriptive statistics and/or statistical inferences
- Measures of location and/or measures of variations
- probability concepts
- Suggestions for further improvements (what other alternative statistical techniques/tools that author could have provided)
