Research
Look through current newspapers and periodicals in the ITT Tech Virtual Library to determine what issues are being debated and discussed in the U.S. and around the world. Choose a topic preferably related to your major area of study. You must find at least one source related to your topic published within the last two years. This research will be used in Task 2.
Some examples of topics are-should children under the age of 18 be tried as adults or should taxpayers' dollars be used to bail out private companies? Some topics, such as abortion, gun control, legalizing marijuana, gay marriage, and the death penalty, are not acceptable. Please note that the topic you choose here will be used in Project Part I.
Task 2: Proposal
Create a proposal for the selected issue. In the proposal, include the following information:
A paragraph of 75-100 words, describing the issue and how it relates to your major field of study. If the topic is not related to your field of study, why did you choose the topic?
A tentative thesis statement on the issue, containing a narrow topic, a stance, and three claims.
Create a References page and use correct APA documentation to list the sources you used in completing this assessment.
