Look at the life and character of the 1st U.S. President and Military hero George Washington and discuss one leadership characteristic or quality he or she displayed that you find most relevant to your own leadership in your work. The leadership characteristic you will write about is the ability of Washington to refuse to seize absolute power like the powers of monarchy in Great Britain that he was fighting in the Revolutionary War in exchange for helping build a constitutional republic that was representative of the people. Analyze why it was signification in the leader's time as well as why it is significant for you in this day and age (example: it is an important character trait to be democratic when working with others as opposed to being selfish and doing things only your way).
