You are working as a Home Visit Collector. One of your patients is a 76 year old Vietnamese woman, Mrs Linh Ruan who lives with her daughter. Mrs Ruan came to Australia 10 years ago with her husband. Mrs Ruans husband died 6 years ago. Mrs Ruan is unable to speak English but you can communicate with her by non-verbal communication. On your patients run sheet you have the Mobile phone number of her Daughters to contact, so you can use her as an interpreter. She will be working so you will have to call the Daughter. Mrs Ruan is a regular INR patient and she is having her blood test today for Warfarin dosing. She lives in a high rise apartment and to enter you need to ring her door, and tell her who you are so she will then let you in. On this occasion she is not understanding who you are therefore you cannot enter the building. You will also need to get her Warfarin dose since her last blood test and you have questions to ask her.
