Assignment task: Larceny
Yesterday, to celebrate his divorce, Tom went to a gentlemen's club (strip club) near the courthouse. There, he drank six beers. After two hours, Tom met up with a friend and consumed MDMA (molly, ecstasy). An hour later, Tom decided he needed to get home.
He was about to walk, when he saw an unlocked bicycle. He got on the bicycle and started to ride home. He made it to the next corner before deciding that he should just walk. He then left the unlocked bicycle against a fence.
The owner of the bicycle was very upset and has video footage of Tom taking the bike. He has asked the police to investigate. The bike had a market value of $1,200.
